Prospective students

Under compulsory health insurance, according to the Compulsory Health Insurance Act, the following students are insured and acquire the status of insured person:

full-time high school students and full-time university students over the age of 18 who are citizens of the Republic of Croatia and have a place od residence or stay in the Republic of Croatia, i.e. who are citizens of the Republic of Croatia with a residence in another member state who have a stay in the Republic of Croatia, provided that they are not required to have health insurance in another member state, and foreigners with approved permanent residence or long-term residence in the Republic of Croatia, with the fact that they can use the insured status on that basis no longer than until the end of the school year, i.e. the end of the academic year in which they completed regular education, and for a maximum duration of eight years, unless they obtain compulsory health insurance on another basis,

full-time high school students and full-time university students at higher education institutions in other member states over 18 years of age who are citizens of the Republic of Croatia and have a residence in the Republic of Croatia and foreigners with approved permanent residence or long-term residence in the Republic of Croatia, with the fact that they can use the insured status on that basis no longer than until the end of the school year, i.e. the end of the academic year in which they completed regular education according to the regulations of the state of education, and for a maximum of eight years, unless they obtain compulsory health insurance other basis,

- the right to compulsory health insurance, i.e. insured status, is acquired by by persons with residence, approved permanent stay or long-term stay in the Republic of Croatia over the age of 18 who, according to the regulations on regular education in the Republic of Croatia or in another member state have lost the status of a regular high school student, or a full-time university student, if they registered at the Employment Service within 30 days from the day of losing the status of a full-time high school student or a full-time university student, if they cannot obtain compulsory health insurance on another basis.

ADMISSIONS TO THE FACULTY

Applications for individual admission deadlines, selection of institutions of higher education, insight into the results of the State Matura Exam and publication of the ranking list for applied higher education institutions are carried out using the National Information System of Applications to Higher Education Institutions (NISpVU). You can find more information about the entire procedure on the websites www.postani-student.hrwww.ncvvo.hr and www.studij.hr.

The right to enroll is granted to applicants who, after completing the ranking process, find themselves within the enrollment quotas of the Faculty of Economics and Business in Osijek. The Office for Students and Studies shall publish information on dates, methods of enrollment as well as necessary documentation on the faculty’s website in a timely manner.

The Office for Students and Studies shall publish notices on admissions (date, method and conditions of admission and necessary documentation) on the website of the faculty in a timely manner.

Please report the loss of your student card as soon as possible to the Office for Students and Studies. When reporting the loss of a student card, it is necessary to fill out the REQUEST form and make a payment in the amount of EUR 11.70 (the cost of making a new student card) to the IBAN of the faculty: HR9424020061101070944, model: 67, poziv na broj: OIB studenta, opis plaćanja: studentska iskaznica.

The student is required to submit the following to the Office for Students and Studies no later than 5 (five) days before the date of taking the graduation exam:
- 1 (one) printed copies of the final version of the thesis in paperback (spiral or similar) containing a handwritten declaration of academic integrity after the title pages and send 1 (one) identical copy of the final version of the thesis in digital form (pdf) to the email address of the Office for Students and Studies: referada@efos.hr
- the student’s signed Declaration of consent for the storage and public publication of the thesis in digital repository (Form No. 3)
- certificate from the Faculty Library that all books have been returned.

A student card is a student identification document, with which the student can prove their student status. They are created at the time of first admission in the study at the Office for Students and Studies and are also collected there. The Office for Students and Studies shall publish notices on the faculty’s website when student cards are ready for collection. To withdraw from college, it is necessary to submit the following in person:
- Hand-filled and signed REQUEST form (you can download it on the faculty’s website under the student forms menu in the Office for Students and Studies menu or at the desk of the Office for Students and Studies – student administration office)
- Cancelled student card
- Library confirmation that all library materials have been returned
- The original State Matura certificate that you submitted when enrolling in the study (applies only to undergraduate students).
Forms can be collected at the Office for Students and Studies within the deadline you agree with an employee of the Office for Students and Studies.

The Office for Students and Studies – the Student Administration Office shall publish timely notices on the faculty’s website about dates, methods of enrollment and the necessary documentation.

Formal promotions of graduated students are held once a year. The Office for Students and Studies shall prepare a list of students participating in the graduation ceremony and send official invitations together with an invoice for printing the diploma and additional study documents in Croatian and English, by mail to the students’ address. Diplomas cannot be collected before the ceremony itself. If the student missed the graduation ceremony, they can collect the diploma later at the Office for Students and Studies upon presentation of a payment confirmation.

The levels of the right to meals as follows in numbers: 1, 2 or 2.5, and they indicate the right to a reduced price in the value of one, two, two and a half or three menu meals per day.
1 – Level 1 belongs to all regularly enrolled students.
2 – Level 2 belongs to the following groups: students with residence outside Osijek-Baranja County – they should submit a certificate of residence or a copy of their identity card to the Office for Students and Studies, foreign citizens who use support from International Exchange as scholarship recipients of the Ministry, foreign citizens from EU member countries studying in the Republic of Croatia.
2.5 - Level 2.5 is for the following groups: students who have exercised the right to accommodation in a student dormitory – should submit a confirmation from the student center to the Office for Students and Studies, students with extremely poor financial situation – should contact the Ministry of Science and Education, which will issue a decision that needs to be submitted to the Office for Student and Studies, a student who belongs to the top athlete category and resides in a place of study that is different from the place of registered residence – they should submit to the Office for Students and Studies, a decision on the athletes categorization I-–III of the Croatian Olympic Board, a copy of the identity card and a certificate of registration of residence.

Office hours for the Office for Students and Studies are from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. every weekday, and additionally on Tuesdays from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. for part-time students.

If a student has changed their last name, it is necessary to submit a Request for Personal Data Change to the Office for Students and Studies – Student Administration Office and supporting documentation proving the change (copy of marriage certificate, divorce decree, etc.)

If the student has changed their address of residence, it is necessary to submit to the Office for Students and Studies – Student Administration Office a copy of a valid identity card or a certificate of residence issued by the competent police department.

Exams passed at another university can be recognized for a passed exam with the same or a different name of the passed exam, the same grade and acquired ECTS credits, provided that the passed exam was from a course with the same or similar content.

The student is required to submit the request for approval of the transfer to the holder of the study no later than until 15 September of the current academic year. The request must state the status: regular or part-time student.Acquiring student status or continuing a student status at the University is possible by transferring from one university study to another related university study, from one professional study to another related professional study, or from one course of study to another course of study, namely:
- for studies carried out within the same scientific discipline,
- within the scientific-teaching or artistic-teaching component,
- from one scientific-teaching/art-teaching component to another scientific-teaching/art-teaching component of the University,
- from other higher education institutions in the Republic of Croatia, and
- from other universities abroad.
The transfer applicant is required to attach the appropriate student document, a certified transcript of grades and ECTS credits and other documentation determined by the study holder.

The student registers for taking the exam via Studomat. During the exam period, the student is required to register for the exam no later than five (5) working days before the exam. The student can cancel the exam no later than one (1) working day before the day set for taking the exam, in which case it will be considered that they did not register for the exam.

Once the mentor has accepted the final version of the final thesis, the student is required to submit the following to the Office for Students and Studies no later than 3 days before the defense:
- send 1 (one) printed of the final version of the final thesis in paperback (spiral or similar) in which a copy of a handwritten Declaration of Academic Integrity is integrated behind the title pages, and 1 (one) identical copy of the final version of the final thesis in digital form (pdf) to the email address of the Office for Students and Studies: referada@efos.hr
- the student’s signed Declaration of consent for the storage and public publication of the final paper in a digital repository (Form No. 3)
- certificate from the Faculty Library that all books have been returned.

The student has the right to stand-still obligations:
- during pregnancy,
- for student who are mothers or fathers who use maternity and parental leave in accordance with special regulations
- during a prolonged illness that prevents them from fulfilling their study obligations,
- during the international exchange of a student lasting longer than 60 days during classes, if the student does not acquire ECTS credits through the international exchange, and
- in other justified cases, in accordance with the decision of the professional council of the study holder
A student can exercise the right to stand-still obligations only if they fulfill the following conditions:
- announce justified reasons for stand-still obligations from paragraph 1 of this article to the Office for Students of the study holder, no later than 15 days from the day of the occurrence of the stand-still reason, and
- submit a written request for approval of stand-still obligations with credible documentation on the justification of the request to the Office for Students of the study holder, no later than 30 days from the date of termination of the stand-still obligations reason. A student may be granted the right to stand-still obligations for the duration of one year of study. During the right to stand-still obligations, the student can take exams for which they have fulfilled the conditions. The period of stand-still obligations does not apply to the duration of studies.

It is possible to send by email, but it is necessary to send an inquiry to referada@efos.hr with your name, surname, JMBAG and the purpose of the certificate.

A full-time student who has not acquired the right to enroll in a higher year of study shall repeat the year as a full-time student on the condition that they have achieved at least 24 ECTS credits (24–44 ECTS). If a full-time student has acquired less than 24 ECTS credits, they can repeat the study year, but only as a part-time student. When a full-time student transfers to a part-time study, they must submit a completed and signed Application for a Part-time Study Transfer to the Office for Students and Studies – Student Administration Office. A part-time student shall repeat the study year when they did not achieve a minimum of 45 ECTS credits in the previous year.

AAI@EduHr accounts are opened in the Office for Students and Studies – Student Administration Office. When first enrolling in a course, students receive an AAI@EduHr account from the Office for Students and Studies with a temporary password that must be changed within 48 hours. If during the studies the student finds it difficult to use or forgets the password, it is necessary to contact the Office for Students and Studies – Student Administration Office.

A student who had the status of a full-time student, but whose status as a full-time student ended due to the study termination, can continue their studies in as a part-time student, provided that the study program has not been significantly changed (more than 20%) from the one the student initially enrolled in. The applicant can submit an application for continuation of studies, if no more than three years have passed since the last enrolled academic year of study and submission of the application for continuation of studies.

Potvrde i prijepisi ocjena se ne naplaćuju za “aktivne” studente, odnosno za one studente koji imaju upis u tekućoj akademskoj godini ili su diplomirali, ali još nisu imali svečanu promociju. Ukoliko ste diplomirali, ispisali se ili niste regulirali svoj status u tekućoj akademskoj godini naplaćuje se =13,00 eura na IBAN fakulteta. Prilikom preuzimanja dokumenata potrebno je predočiti dokaz o uplati.

When making a payment, be sure to specify the correct address of the payer.

For the process of unifying academic titles, it is necessary to submit a manually completed REQUEST form to the Office for Students and Studies – Student Administration Office ((you can download it on the faculty’s website under the student forms menu in the Office for Students and Studies menu or at the desk of the Office for Students and Studies – Student Administration Office) and the original or a copy of the original certified diploma of completed studies. There is no charge for unifying an academic title.

After the defense, the mentor shall enter the grade in ISVU during the exam deadlines, and submit the Final Thesis Grade Record/Diploma Exam Record (Form No. 4/Form No. 5) in addition with one signed copy of the final/diploma thesis to the Office for Students and Studies, after which the Office for Students and Studies – Student Administration Office shall issue a certificate of the acquired academic title (certificate of completion of studies) within 7 days. Certificates of the acquired academic title can be collected in person at the Office for Students and Studies – Student Administration Office.

Student status certificates are issued through the e-citizen portal (students apply with their AAI-identity), in person through the Studomat (students apply with their AAI-identity) located in the Glagolitic Hall (after printing the certificate, it is printed once again on printer in the Office for Students and Studies – Student Administration Office) or by coming to the Office for Students and Studies – Student Administration Office in person.

The reasons for losing the right to covering food costs are as follows:
- a student who has studied for more than 4 years at undergraduate studies (3 years regular + 1 additional) and longer than 3 years at graduate studies (2 years regular + 1 additional);
- a student who has acquired less than 18 ECTS credits in the previous academic year;
- a student who has acquired less than 36 ECTS in two consecutive years;
- a student who changes the study program for the second time;
- a student who returned from an ERASMUS exchange and did not submit a Certificate of Departure.
If you have lost the right to cover the cost of meals, and you are not in any of the categories listed above, please contact the Student and Studies Office – Student Administration Office.

A student can submit a request for approval of a topic and a mentor for the preparation of a final/diploma thesis in the last (summer) semester of the final year of study. Before submitting the application for the approval of the topic and the mentor for the preparation of the final/diploma thesis, the student is required to complete the Workshop for the preparation of final and diploma theses. The student shall apply to the subject professor with whom they want to write a final/diploma thesis with a request for registering the topic of the final/diploma thesis (Form No. 1). Should the faculty member accept the mentorship, they shall return the signed form to the student. The student shall submit the signed Form no. 1. and the certificate of attended workshop to the Office for Students and Studies – Student Administration Office. The Office for Students and Studies – Student Administration Office is required to assign a mentor, course and topic to the student through ISVU as defined by the signed Form no. 1. Once the employees of the Office for Students and Studies – Student Administration Office complete the records of subjects, paper topics and mentors in ISVU, Form no. 1. is returned to the student and the student is required to keep the document until the completion of the submission/defense process.

In the event that you do not see or cannot register for the exam, you should contact the Office for Students and Studies as soon as possible so that we can detect and eliminate problems in time.
