










































Under compulsory health insurance, according to the Compulsory Health Insurance Act, the following students are insured and acquire the status of insured person:
full-time high school students and full-time university students over the age of 18 who are citizens of the Republic of Croatia and have a place od residence or stay in the Republic of Croatia, i.e. who are citizens of the Republic of Croatia with a residence in another member state who have a stay in the Republic of Croatia, provided that they are not required to have health insurance in another member state, and foreigners with approved permanent residence or long-term residence in the Republic of Croatia, with the fact that they can use the insured status on that basis no longer than until the end of the school year, i.e. the end of the academic year in which they completed regular education, and for a maximum duration of eight years, unless they obtain compulsory health insurance on another basis,
full-time high school students and full-time university students at higher education institutions in other member states over 18 years of age who are citizens of the Republic of Croatia and have a residence in the Republic of Croatia and foreigners with approved permanent residence or long-term residence in the Republic of Croatia, with the fact that they can use the insured status on that basis no longer than until the end of the school year, i.e. the end of the academic year in which they completed regular education according to the regulations of the state of education, and for a maximum of eight years, unless they obtain compulsory health insurance other basis,
- the right to compulsory health insurance, i.e. insured status, is acquired by by persons with residence, approved permanent stay or long-term stay in the Republic of Croatia over the age of 18 who, according to the regulations on regular education in the Republic of Croatia or in another member state have lost the status of a regular high school student, or a full-time university student, if they registered at the Employment Service within 30 days from the day of losing the status of a full-time high school student or a full-time university student, if they cannot obtain compulsory health insurance on another basis.

ADMISSIONS TO THE FACULTY
Applications for individual admission deadlines, selection of institutions of higher education, insight into the results of the State Matura Exam and publication of the ranking list for applied higher education institutions are carried out using the National Information System of Applications to Higher Education Institutions (NISpVU). The right to enroll is granted to applicants who, after completing the ranking process, find themselves within the enrollment quotas of the Faculty of Economics and Business in Osijek. The Office for Students and Studies shall publish information on dates, methods of enrollment as well as necessary documentation on the faculty’s website in a timely manner.

The academic passport brings together the (un)written rules of the academic community, formed from the 12th century and the emergence of the first faculties to the present day. The excellence of mentoring and collegiality of the academic community is modeled on ancient forms of learning and teaching, but with the application of modern methodology and advanced technology. Written norms of academic etiquette are directly subordinated to the law, university statutes and regulations, while unwritten norms are transmitted orally and build the reputation of students, professors and the academic institution where they are applied.
A regular student can take an exam in the same subject in all available exam periods within the academic year in which the subject was enrolled. According to the University of Josip Jurj Strossmayer in Osijek's Study and Exam Regulations, there are no exams before a committee at the university.
Report the loss of your student ID card to the Department of Students and Studies as soon as possible. When reporting the loss of the student ID card, you must fill out the APPLICATION form and make a payment of 11.70 euros (cost of issuing a new student ID card) to the Faculty's IBAN.
Students are required to submit to the Student and Study Department no later than 5 (five) days before the scheduled date of the final thesis defense:
- 1 (one) printed copy of the final version of the thesis in a soft binding (spiral or similar), to which the handwritten signed Declaration of Academic Integrity is integrated behind the title pages, and 1 (one) identical copy of the final version of the thesis in digital form (pdf) sent to the e-mail address of the Department for Students and Studies: referada@efos.hr
- Student's Declaration of Consent for Storage and Public Disclosure of the Thesis in the Digital Repository (Form No. 3)
- Confirmation from the Faculty Library that all books have been returned

The student ID card is the student's identification document, by which the student proves their student status. They are issued upon first enrollment in studies at the Student Affairs and Studies Department and are also picked up there. The Department of Student Affairs and Studies publishes announcements on the Faculty's website when student ID cards are ready for pickup. Certificates are collected at the Student and Studies Department within a timeframe agreed upon with a staff member of the Student and Studies Department.

Applicants who, after the ranking procedure is completed, are within the enrollment quotas of the Faculty of Economics in Osijek are entitled to enroll. The Office for Students and Studies - the registrar's office will timely publish a notice on the Faculty's website regarding the dates, enrollment procedure, and required.
Graduation ceremonies for master's students are held once a year. The Student and Studies Department sends out official invitations. Students are not required to attend the ceremony if they do not wish to. Diplomas and supplementary documents can be collected by students after printing, irrespective of the ceremony, in person at the Student and Studies Department.
The levels of the right to meals as follows in numbers: 1, 2 or 2.5, and they indicate the right to a reduced price in the value of one, two, two and a half or three menu meals per day.
1 – Level 1 belongs to all regularly enrolled students.
2 - Level 2 belongs to the following groups: students residing outside Osijek-Baranja County – they need to submit proof of residence or a copy of their ID card to the Department for Students and Studies, foreign nationals using support from International Exchange as scholarship holders of the ministry, foreign nationals from EU member states studying in the Republic of Croatia.
2.5 - Level 2.5 belongs to the following groups: students who have qualified for dormitory accommodation – they need to submit a certificate from the student center to the Department for Students and Studies; students in a state of extreme poverty – they need to contact the Ministry of Science and Education, which will issue them a decision that must be submitted to the Department for Students and Studies; a.
The opening hours of the Student Administration Office are every working day from 8 am to 3 pm, and until 6 pm on Tuesdays for part-time students. For any enquiries, the office can be reached by phone between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm on working days.
If a student has changed their surname, they need to submit a Request for Personal Data Amendment to the Student and Study Department - Registrar's Office, along with supporting documentation proving the change (copy of marriage certificate, divorce decree).
If a student has changed their place of residence, a copy of a valid ID card or e-certificate of residence must be submitted to the Student Affairs and Studies Department - Registrar's Office.
A student who has passed an exam at another higher education institution may be credited with the passed exam for the same level of study with the same or.
A student's request for approval of a course transfer must be submitted to the program coordinator no later than September 15th of the current academic year. The request must specify the student's status: full-time or part-time.
Gaining student status or continuing student status at the University is possible by transferring from one university study program to another related university study program, from one professional study program to another related professional study program, or from one field of study to another field of study, as follows:
- for studies carried out within the same scientific discipline,
- within the scientific-teaching or artistic-teaching component,
- from one scientific-teaching/artistic-teaching constituent unit to another scientific-teaching/artistic-teaching constituent unit of the University,
- from other higher education institutions in the Republic of Croatia, and
- from other universities abroad.
The transfer applicant is required to attach the appropriate student document, a certified transcript of grades and ECTS credits and other documentation determined by the study holder.
The student registers for the exam via Studomat. The student is obligated to register for the exam no later than five (5) business days before the exam date. The student may de-register for the exam no later than one (1) business day before the scheduled exam date, and in that case, it will be considered that the student did not register for the exam.
After the mentor has accepted the final version of the thesis, the student is required to submit to the Student and Study Affairs Department, at least 3 days before the defense:
- 1 (one) printed copy of the final version of the thesis in a soft cover (spiral bound or similar) with the handwritten and signed Declaration of Academic Integrity integrated behind the title page, and 1 (one) identical copy of the final version of the thesis in digital format (pdf) sent to the email address of the Department for Students and Studies: referada@efos.hr
- the student’s signed Declaration of consent for the storage and public publication of the final paper in a digital repository (Form No. 3)
- Confirmation from the Faculty Library that all books have been returned
- Confirmation of completion of the Unified University Survey survey.unios
Student rights and obligations:
A student can claim the right to a deferral of obligations:
- by submitting a written request for approval of suspension of rights and obligations, with credible documentation justifying the request, to the Department for Students of the Attending Program, no later than 30 days.
Students may be granted a leave of absence from their rights and obligations for one academic year or one semester. During the leave of absence, students may take exams for which they meet the requirements. The period of leave of absence from students' rights and obligations does not count towards the duration of their studies.
Students can receive certificates by email, but it is necessary to send an inquiry to referada@efos.hr With your first name, last name, JMBAG, and obligatorily state the purpose of the confirmation.
Full-time student A student who has not qualified for enrollment in the next academic year repeats the year as a full-time student only once.
When a regular student transitions to part-time study, they must submit a completed and signed Application for Transition to Part-Time Study to the Student and Study Department – Registrar's Office.
Outstanding student repeats the academic year when they did not earn a minimum of 45 ECTS credits in the previous year.
AAI@EduHr accounts are opened at the Department for Students and Studies - Registry Office. Upon initial enrollment in their studies, students receive an AAI@EduHr account from the Department for Students and Studies with a temporary password that must be changed within 48 hours. If a student experiences difficulty using their account or forgets their password during their studies, they should contact the Department for Students and Studies - Registry Office.
According to the Rulebook on Studies and Studying at the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, the continuation of interrupted studies can no longer be realized.
Certificates and grade transcripts are free for active students, meaning students enrolled in the current academic year or those who have graduated. If you have graduated, dropped out, or have not regularized your status in the current academic year, a fee of 13.00 euros will be charged to the Faculty's IBAN.
When picking up documents, you need to present proof of payment or send proof of payment via email.

For the academic title equivalence procedure, you need to submit a signed APPLICATION form (which you can download from the Faculty website under the forms for students section in the Students/Registrar's office menu, or pick up at the counter in the Student and Study Department - Registrar's office) and a copy of the certified original diploma of completed studies to the Student and Study Department - Registrar's office. Academic title equivalence is free of charge. You can also send the application by email to referada@efos.hr.
After the defense, the mentor enters the grade into ISVU within the exam periods, and submits the Record of Final Thesis Grade / Record of Final Examination (Form No. 4) with one signed copy of the final thesis/diploma thesis to the Student and Study Affairs Department. Subsequently, the Student and Study Affairs Department - Registrar's Office will issue e-diplomas and e-diploma supplements in Croatian and English as soon as possible. We no longer issue certificates of academic title due to e-diplomas, but if a student needs one before the e-diploma, they can obtain a certificate of study completion from the Student and Study Affairs Department - Registrar's Office.
Student status certificates without a specific purpose or faculty verification are issued through the e-građani portal (students log in using their AAI identity)., Certified confirmation letters for the purpose of studies can be obtained at the Student and Studies Department - Registrar's Office, in person, via email, or students can request an e-confirmation via Studomat, which will be sent exclusively to the student's official efos email address.

A student can submit a request for approval of the topic and supervisor for the final/thesis project in the last (summer) semester of their final year of study. The student is required to attend the Workshop for Final and Thesis Projects. The student applies to the professor under whom they wish to complete their final/thesis project with a request to register the topic for the final/thesis project (Form No. 1). If the professor accepts to supervise, they return the signed form to the student. The student submits the signed Form No. 1 to the Student and Study Department – Registrar's Office. The Student and Study Department – Registrar's Office is obliged to assign a supervisor, subject, and topic to the student through ISVU, as defined in the signed Form No. .
