Within the project Meet the Employer, at the Faculty of Economics in Osijek, on November 19, 2024, a presentation of companies/employers was held.
Lecture entitled „"„Meet the employer - SAPONIA dd and KANDIT doo.“"“ was held by representatives of these two companies, members of the Mepas Group: Andrijana Degmečić – Director of Human Resources, Josipa Tomola Cicic – professional associate in the Human Resources Department and Maja Baric – Intern and former student of Efos.
The company representatives gave a very interesting lecture and presented the companies and their career paths in detail. The emphasis was on sustainability, ecology, excellence, recognition and employee satisfaction. They also explained to the students the testing process for job applications in a very accessible and honest way.
They advised students that being proactive, persistent, and working on their skills and knowledge pays off. They emphasize that their companies value the human factor most when hiring. Interesting information for students is that they accept young interns, providing them with job training in all departments through the internship process. They believe that this is crucial for young people to find themselves in business terms. "“Be proactive, send open requests and be yourself!”
Office for career counseling and career development at the Faculty of Economics in Osijek in 2022 launched a project called Get to know the employer/industry. The goal of the project is to introduce different companies/employers as well as different industries to students, present the opportunities that a certain company/industry offers (projects, internships, etc.), present career development opportunities in the company after completing their studies, and the expected and required knowledge and skills for different jobs.
