What does an economist have to do with gaming? More than you might think.

The student association edIT is organizing Playconomy, the first student conference at the Faculty of Economics in Osijek dedicated to the business side of the gaming industry. The event will be held April 29, 2026 at 5:30 PM in Hall 5 at EFOS, and admission is free.

Gaming is one of the largest industries in the world—and it’s not just for developers. Playconomy comes with a clear message: there is a place for economists, marketing experts, project managers, and anyone who wants to be part of a creative industry with serious economic logic in gaming.

The program includes a keynote performance and a panel discussion with confirmed guests from the local gaming scene— Josipom Vincetićem Downtown Game Studio, Brunom Bakulom (Big Small Games) I Aronom Gaspićem (Acodeon). The conversation is moderated by Leo Tot, who will also open the conference with an introductory lecture.
