Last week (March 25th and 26th), a meeting was held as part of the Pannon Future Forest project, in which the Faculty of Economics in Osijek also participates. During the meeting, which was organized by Croatian Forests A benchmarking study was presented with the aim of explaining new thematic trends and highlighting business potentials. At the meeting, partners discussed how to build the knowledge of business support organizations (e.g., chambers of commerce, business development organizations, civil sector, nature conservation organizations, forestry, local/national leading companies), enabling them to act as „catalysts“ (i.e., explore and engage with the business environment), as well as to help in valuing the natural resources of the targeted area. Further activities were also agreed upon at the meeting, which include organizing project presentations and collecting stakeholder ideas, as well as workshops to discuss these ideas with stakeholders.
