All candidates for the Call for Applications must meet the general conditions prescribed by the Labour Act („Official Gazette“ numbers 93/14, 127/17, 98/19, 151/22 and 64/23).
Candidates for the competition under point 1. except for the criteria prescribed in Article 39, paragraphs 1 and 3, and Article 119, paragraph 6. the Law on Higher Education and Scientific Activity („Official Gazette“ no. 119/22), are required to meet the conditions prescribed in Article 123, paragraphs 1 and 2, and Article 200. Contest candidates under item 1 of the application for the tender are required to attach documentation according to Form No. 1 – Application for the competition for the scientific and teaching position of assistant professor, which was published on the website of the Faculty of Economics in Osijek https://www.efos.unios.hr/o-fakultetu/transparentost.
Candidates for the competition under point 2. in addition to the criteria prescribed in Article 39, paragraphs 1 and 4, and Article 119, paragraph 6. of the Act on Higher Education and Scientific Activity („Official Gazette“ No. 119/22) must also meet the requirements prescribed in Article 123, paragraphs 1 and 3, and Article 200. For candidates applying for the competition, foreign nationals are required to submit proof of knowledge of the Croatian language in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (C2).
Candidates applying for the vacancy who hold a foreign higher education qualification are required to submit proof of a conducted procedure for the evaluation of their foreign higher education qualification for the purpose of accessing the labor market.
Persons of both sexes may apply for the competition under equal conditions. Only a person who meets the formal requirements of the competition and who has submitted a timely and complete application for the competition will be considered a candidate for the competition. A complete application is an application that contains all the information and attachments specified in the competition and is signed by hand. Late and incomplete applications will not be considered.
Candidates who, based on special regulations - the Act on Croatian Homeland War Veterans and Members of Their Families ("Official Gazette" no. 121/17, 98/19, 84/21 and 156/23), Article 48 of the Act on Civilian Victims of Homeland War ("Official Gazette" no. 84/21) and Article 48.f. of the Act on the Protection of Military and Civilian War Invalids (Official Gazette, No. 33/92, 57/92, 77/92, 27/93, 58/93, 02/94, 76/94, 108/95, 108/96, 82/01, 103/03, 148/13 and 98/19), Article 9 of the Act on Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities (Official Gazette, No. 157/13, 152/14, 39/18 and 32/20) call for the right to priority in employment, they are obliged to refer to this right in their application for the competition and to attach all evidence prescribed by special regulations for the exercise of this right. The aforementioned candidates shall have priority in employment compared to other applicants, only under equal conditions. For candidates who, in their application, invoke the right to employment priority under the Act on Croatian Veterans of Homeland War and Members of Their Families ("Official Gazette" No. 121/17, 98/19, 84/21 and 156/23) and the Act on Civilian Victims of the Homeland War ("Official Gazette" No. 84/21), the list of evidence required to exercise this right is available at the link of the Ministry of Croatian Veterans: https://branitelji.gov.hr/zaposljavanje-843/843.
Candidates who invoke the right to priority in employment pursuant to Article 9 of the Act on Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities ("Official Gazette" No. 157/13, 152/14, 39/18 and 32/20) are required to invoke this right in their application for the competition and to submit all evidence of meeting the required conditions, as well as proof of disability.
All candidates will be notified of the results of the competition no later than (15) days from the date of its completion. The Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, Faculty of Economics in Osijek reserves the right to notify all registered candidates via e-mail. Candidates are required to provide their e-mail address in their application for the competition.
