All candidates for the job opening must meet the general requirements stipulated by the Labour Act („Official Gazette“ numbers 93/14, 127/17, 98/19, 151/22 and 64/23).
Candidates for the competition under point 1. In addition to the criteria prescribed by Article 39, paragraphs 4 and 6 of the Higher Education and Scientific Activity Act („Official Gazette“ no. 119/22), they are obliged to meet the conditions prescribed by Article 123, paragraphs 3 and 4 of the Statute of the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, Article 45, paragraphs 3 and 4 of the Statute of the Faculty of Economics within the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, consolidated text, and Article 26 of the Rulebook on the Procedure for Election/Re-election to Scientific-Teaching, Artistic-Teaching, Teaching, Associate, and Professional Positions at the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek (hereinafter referred to as the University Rulebook), as well as the Decision on Establishing Criteria for Obtaining the Status of Particularly Successful Student at the Faculty of Economics within the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek. Candidates for the competition under point 1. It is mandatory to attach documentation according to Form No. 4 - Application for the competition for the position of assistant, which is published on the website of the Faculty of Economics in Osijek. www.efos.unios.hr, or are obliged to submit with their application for the tender without fail: completed Form No. 4 – Application for the Competition For election to the collaborative position of assistant, curriculum vitae, original or certified copy of a diploma for a completed university master's study program or university integrated undergraduate and master's study program in the scientific field of Social Sciences, scientific field of Economics, transcript of grades or supplementary document regarding completed undergraduate and master's studies, and a certificate of student's academic success issued by an authorized institution of higher education.
Candidates for the competition under point 1. Candidates who meet the formal requirements of the public tender and who have submitted the mandatory documentation with their application for the tender must undergo a written test and/or interview. This process includes a motivation check and an additional knowledge assessment by an expert committee. Candidates will be informed about the location of the written test and/or interview via email from the Faculty of Economics in Osijek no later than five (5) days before the interview is held. Candidates who do not attend the written test and/or interview by the expert committee will be considered to have withdrawn their application and will not be considered candidates for the tender.

Candidates for the competition under point 2. They shall submit two (2) copies of the documentation, one original and one copy. All candidates who meet the formal requirements of the competition and who have attached the mandatory documentation to their application must attend a written test and/or interview. They will be informed about the content and method of the written test and/or interview, legal and other sources for candidate preparation for the written test and/or interview, as well as the location and time of the written test and/or interview via the Faculty's website and by email no later than five (5) days before the written test and/or interview. Candidates who do not attend the written test and/or interview upon invitation for testing will be considered to have withdrawn their application for the competition and will not be considered candidates for the competition.
All candidates for the competition who are foreign nationals must submit proof of knowledge of the Croatian language in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (C2).
All candidates for the competition who possess a foreign higher education qualification must submit proof of the recognition procedure for their foreign higher education qualification.
Persons of both sexes may apply for the competition under equal conditions. Only a person who meets the formal requirements of the competition and who has submitted a timely and complete application for the competition will be considered a candidate for the competition. A complete application is an application that contains all the information and attachments specified in the competition and is signed by hand. Late and incomplete applications will not be considered.
Candidates who invoke the right of preference in employment based on special regulations – the Act on Croatian Defenders of the Homeland War and their Family Members („Narodne novine“ no. 121/17, 98/19, 84/21, and 156/23), Article 48 of the Act on Civilian Victims of the Homeland War („Narodne novine“ no. 84/21), and Article 48.f. of the Act on the Protection of Military and Civilian War Invalids („Narodne novine“ no. 33/92, 57/92, 77/92, 27/93, 58/93, 2/94, 76/94, 108/95, 108/96, 82/01, 103/03, 148/13, and 98/19), Article 9 of the Act on Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities („Narodne novine“ no. 157/13, 152/14, 39/18, and 32/20) are obliged to refer to this right in their application for the vacancy and provide all evidence prescribed by special regulations for exercising this right. The aforementioned candidates gain preference in employment over other applicants only under equal conditions. For candidates who invoke the right of preference in employment in their application for the vacancy according to the Act on Croatian Defenders of the Homeland War and their Family Members („Narodne novine“ no. 121/17, 98/19, and 84/21 and 156/23) and the Act on Civilian Victims of the Homeland War („Narodne novine“ no. 84/21), the list of evidence required to exercise this right is available at the link of the Ministry of Croatian Defenders: https://branitelji.gov.hr/zaposljavanje-843/843. Candidates invoking the right of preference in employment pursuant to Article 9 of the Law on Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities („Official Gazette“ No. 157/13, 152/14, 39/18 and 32/20) must, in their application for the job, invoke that right and submit all evidence of meeting the required conditions, as well as proof of disability.
All candidates will be notified of the results of the competition no later than (15) days from the date of its completion. The Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, Faculty of Economics in Osijek reserves the right to notify all registered candidates via e-mail. Candidates are required to provide their e-mail address in their application for the competition.
Each candidate, by applying for the tender, gives consent that all his personal data contained in the tender documentation are collected and processed for the purpose of implementing the tender in accordance with the regulations governing the protection of personal data, in particular Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation). The consent form is published alongside the tender on the website of the Faculty of Economics in Osijek. www.efos.unios.hr. Without a duly completed and signed Consent forms with the application for the competition, the application will be considered incomplete and will be rejected.
Candidates for the competition under point 1. Applications for the competition with evidence of meeting the competition requirements must be submitted electronically to the following address: pisarnica@efos.hr within thirty (30) days from the date of publication of the tender, indicating: „Application for the position of assistant”.
