In cooperation with Žito d.d. we are organizing Žito Hackathon, a one-day business competition that will be held June 8th from 9 AM to 3 PM at the Faculty of Economics in Osijek.
The Žito Hackathon is designed for second-year master's students who want to take on a challenge – solving a real business problem and demonstrating how they think, make decisions, analyze the market, and present business proposals in a real business context. At the end, they will receive concrete feedback from department heads and members of the Žito d.d. management board. The top students will receive cash prizes for first, second, and third place ($500, $250, and $100 respectively), as well as a job interview opportunity and gift packages for the top five!
The specific task will only be revealed at the hackathon itself, and students will be able to choose from several task directions depending on what they would like to do in the future. During the hackathon, participants will have the opportunity to meet representatives from Žito, engage in informal conversations with managers, and present their ideas to a professional jury. It is important to note that there are no wrong answers, as the goal of the event is to recognize young talents who can think analytically, argue effectively, and act entrepreneurially.
