European Forum Alpbach (EFA) awards full scholarships for participation in international conference which will be held in Alpbach, Austria from August 24 to September 4, 2026.
The European Forum Alpbach was founded in 1945 and brings together engaged young people and leading experts from the world of business, politics and international relations, the academic and scientific community, and civil society from around the world with the aim of developing ideas for the empowerment and democratic development of Europe.
There are four main topics of the conference:

This year, the EFA Foundation is awarding around 350 scholarships for young people from all over the world. Scholarship competition it is open from March 2 to 22, and young people between the ages of 18 and 30 can apply, regardless of academic discipline.
The full scholarship covers the costs of participation in all parts of the program, accommodation (11 nights with breakfast), local transportation (bus, cable car), and visits to local tourist attractions. The total value of the scholarship is €3,000. The scholarship does not cover transportation costs (e.g., a round-trip train ticket from Zagreb ~€50) and travel insurance (~€30).
