Why Nations Fail – and What We Can Do to Make Them Prosper? These were some of the key questions at the Adria Business Forum 2026. 🌍
As an academic partner Adria Business Forum, On June 16, 2026, the Faculty of Economics in Osijek, along with a group of students and professors, participated in this exceptionally interesting and important business event. It was particularly satisfying to listen to the lecture by Nobel laureate in Economics, James Robinson, who in 2024, along with Daron Acemoglu and Simon Johnson, was awarded for research on how institutions are formed and how they affect the prosperity of societies.
In addition to James Robinson's lecture, the event offered a series of other very interesting and relevant lectures and panels on the themes of business and economic competitiveness, and the role of artificial intelligence in creating a competitive advantage.
These experiences provide students with opportunities for firsthand learning, connecting with experts, and gaining insights into current trends shaping the contemporary business environment. EFOS will continue to actively encourage its students' participation in such events, with the goal of connecting theory and practice and developing the competencies necessary for a successful career. 🎓
