Sanda Katavić-Čaušić graduated from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Osijek in 1998 and earned the title of Teacher / Master of Education of English and German language and literature, while in 2009 she obtained the title of Master of Economic Sciences from the University of Rijeka. Until her employment at the EFOS Department of Interdisciplinary Courses in 2016, she worked at all levels of education and with all age groups. For most of her career, she worked in the organization and implementation of English language courses for special purposes (ESP) at the Croatian Military Academy, the Art Academy in Osijek and the Polytechnic in Vukovar. In 2020, she was elected to the position of senior lecturer in the scientific discipline of Humanities, the scientific field of linguistics, the scientific branch of English language. At the faculty, she teaches three undergraduate courses – Business English 1, Business English 2 and Business English 6. During her work experience, she received professional training at a series of seminars, workshops and conferences in the field of methodology, pedagogical competences and management of the teaching process, as well as by participating in Erasmus+ projects and activities. Her focus of professional and scientific interest is intercultural communication and competences, the application of information and communication technology in the field of foreign language teaching, and the role of language skills and business English in the modern business environment. She is actively involved in translating editions in the field of art and culture, implementing projects with the American Corner in Osijek, and is a member of the Association of LSP Teachers at Higher Education Institutions (UNJSVU) and the Croatian Association of Teachers of English (HUPE).
