Petra Mezulić Juric started her business career in 2012 at PricewaterhouseCoopers Croatia in the audit department. Since 2014, she has been employed at the Faculty of Economics and Business in Osijek, at the Department of Management, Organization and Entrepreneurship. In 2020, she received her doctorate on the subject of “Growth of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises Through Acquisitions” at the International Interuniversity Postgraduate Interdisciplinary Doctoral Study in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Since 2022, she has been employed as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Economics and Business in Osijek and is part of the UNESCO Chair for Entrepreneurship Education. She participates in teaching courses that are closely related to the topic of entrepreneurship and the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises. She actively deals with issues of small and medium-sized enterprises, especially family businesses. She is the co-author of two books “Challenges of Business Transfer in Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises” and “Sleeping with One Eye Open – Growth of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises Through Acquisitions” and participates in holding workshops and consulting for owners of small and medium-sized enterprises. As an associate, she worked on scientific research projects financed by the University of Josip Juraj Strossmayer in Osijek, the Faculty of Economics and Business in Osijek, and projects financed by the European Union. She is continuously taking professional development opportunities and, among other things, she attended professional training at HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht (Netherlands), Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences (Finland), University of Ljubljana (Slovenia) in the period from 2017 to 2020, as a scholarship holder of the Erasmus+ international teaching staff exchange program. She is a member of the association ECSB 2 – European Council for Small Business and Entrepreneurship.
