Martina Briš Alić, PhD, born on 28 November 1981 in Osijek, Republic of Croatia, graduated from the Faculty of Economics and Business in Osijek in 2005 with a degree in “Financial Management”. During her studies, she received a scholarship from the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports due to her excellent results. After graduation, she continued her education and in 2010 obtained the academic degree of university specialist in economics by completing the post-graduate specialist study “Organization and Management”. Later, in 2012, she defended her doctoral dissertation entitled “Optimizing the Choice of Geothermal Energy Use Project Using Multi-Criteria Analysis Methods” at the Faculty of Economics and Business in Osijek, obtaining the academic degree of Doctor of Social Sciences in the scientific field of economics. She has been working at the Faculty of Economics and Business in Osijek since 2006, where she was promoted to associate professor in 2018. She teaches courses at different study levels, has published two books/textbooks and a number of scientific papers and participated in scientific projects. Also, she is the winner of the “Ivan Filipović Award” for exceptional contribution to upbringing and education for the year 2022. Her primary area of interest is operations research and production and service management. Martina speaks German, English and Slovak and regularly improves her skills at various seminars and workshops.
