Julia Perić is a full-time professor at the Faculty of Economics and Business in Osijek and head of the Department of Management, Organization and Entrepreneurship. She was employed at the Croatian Employment Services, regional office Osijek, where as an employment consultant she was responsible for cooperation with the business sector and organization of workshops for the unemployed, and at Flatcher d.o.o. as a marketing manager. She has been working at the Faculty of Economics and Business in Osijek since 2004. From the very beginning, she has participated in the preparation, implementation and coordination of domestic research and EU projects. She is a member of the CEPOR research team of the Center for the Policy of Small and Medium Enterprises and Entrepreneurship and the Alumni Association of the Faculty of Economics and Business in Osijek. She is a mentor at the Legal and Economic Clinic, whose goal is to provide free expert advisory services to small and medium-sized enterprises in Osijek through the synergy of knowledge of students of the Faculty of Law and Faculty Economics and Business in Osijek, with the mentoring of professors, Osijek lawyers and representatives of supporting institutions. Since 2018, she has been a member of the Council for awarding quality marks to volunteer centers. She is the initiator and coordinator of the Volunteer Program that was launched at the Faculty of Economics and Business in mid-2009. As part of various courses, she applies the method of learning through work in the community, and in cooperation with many profit and non-profit organizations, she tries to encourage young people to take responsibility and develop awareness of the importance of active citizenship and social inclusion. Her main research interests are: entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial skills, social entrepreneurship, social responsibility, business ethics and volunteering, and she has published over 40 scientific papers, an editorial book and a textbook focusing on these areas.
