Josipa Forjan is a scientist, producer and theoretician of the creative industry. At the Faculty of Economics and Business in Osijek, as a full-time professor, she teaches a large number of quantitative and methodological courses. She is active in scientific and professional nonfiction, she is the manager of academic community projects, international research studies, and professional and research projects in the field of the creative industry. She initiated the establishment of the Andizet Institute, within which she initiated and managed a number of projects, among which the Creative Treasury stands out. Since 2019, she has been the leader of the international Millennium Competition in the creative industry, which is held at the Faculty of Economics and Business in Osijek. She is a producer of multimedia projects aimed at realizing innovative artistic practices based on cultural heritage. Research work focuses on scientific research useful to the academic community, but also to stakeholders in the creative industry sector. She also develops and manages projects from the creative industry as a consultant for Ernst & Young.

In 2016, she received the State Prize for Science from the Croatian Parliament for the Creative Treasury in the category of popularizing science. Her teaching excellence was confirmed by the Ministry of Science and Education by awarding her the Ivan Filipović Award in 2021 for the scientific book and textbook Research SPaSS, which she wrote in co-authorship with Jasna Horvat.
