Davorin Turkalj has been employed at the Faculty of Agriculture in Osijek since 2006, and since 2014, he has been working full-time at the Faculty of Economics and Business in Osijek. Since 2023, he has been working as a full-time professor at the Faculty of Economics and Business in Osijek, Department of Marketing. His research and teaching interests are focused on the broader field of digital marketing. He teaches several subjects at different levels of study within his alma mater, but also as an external associate at several universities in Croatia and abroad. So far, he has published more than 35 scientific papers and two co-authored books and participated in numerous international scientific conferences. He is a member of the Croatian Marketing Association (CROMAR) and the Croatian Direct Marketing Association (CRODMA). He actively uses the English language and has excellent computer skills. So far, as a scientist and project manager, he has participated in two Erasmus+ projects: Erasmus+ MASTERS – Mobile Application for Skills Training in EntRepreneurShip – (2015–2017); and CUVID – Curriculum video (2016–2018). He was also involved in the development of the higher education qualification framework for the field of economics – ECONQUAL. Since 2020, he has been a member of the editorial board of the scientific journal Ekonomski vjesnik / Econviews, published by the Faculty of Economics and Business in Osijek. He is currently holds the position of head of the department of marketing and head of the university specialist study “Marketing of special areas”.
