Dario Šebalj has been employed at the Faculty of Economics and Business in Osijek since 2014 as an assistant at the Department of Quantitative Methods and Informatics. In April 2020, he was elected to the position of post-doctoral student, and in 2021 to the position of assistant professor at the same department where he teaches several courses. In 2019, he obtained his doctorate by defending his doctoral dissertation entitled “Simulation Model of the Natural Gas Supply Chain in the Republic of Croatia in the Function of Cost Optimization”. From 2020 to 2023, he held the position of executive editor of the journal Ekonomski vjesnik, and from 2017 to 2019 he was also the secretary of the EFOS Alumni Association. He has published over 20 scientific papers in journals and proceedings of international meetings. As a member of the organizing committee, he participated in the organization of the international scientific conferences Business Logistics in Modern Management (from 2015 to the present), Interdisciplinary Management Research (2019) and the Conference on Operational Research KOI (2016). He was also a member of the program committee of the international scientific conference IBIMA (in 2020) and of the scientific committee of the international scientific conference EBES (in 2020). He was a researcher on a scientific project of the Croatian Science Foundation and on two Erasmus+ projects.
