From May 11th to 15th, as part of the "Erasmus+" academic mobility program, representatives from the Armenian State University of Economics (ASUE) – lecturers from the Department of Financial Markets and Institutions, Gurgen Arakelyan and Grigor Grigoryan, and Mher Aghalovyan, Associate Professor at the Department of Higher Mathematics – visited the Faculty of Economics and Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek.
During the visit, Gurgen Arakelyan discussed with students the role of the financial system in promoting economic development, as well as current trends and prospects for the development of the financial market in the Republic of Armenia, while Grigor Grigoryan gave a lecture on the transformation of the banking system under digitalization and financial technologies in the banking system. Students participated in the lectures with great interest, actively engaging in discussions.
Faculty members from ASUE also presented the academic potential of the Armenian university, international cooperation, and development perspectives to teachers and students in Osijek, receiving positive feedback. The visiting faculty members held meetings with the management, faculty, and staff of the Faculty of Economics and the University. Assistant Professor Dražen Novaković took care of the visit of ASUE representatives to the Faculty of Economics, and Professor Mher Aghalovyan received a warm welcome from Kristian Sabo, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Informatics of the University of Osijek, Vice-Dean Zoran Tomljanović, and "Erasmus+" program coordinator Ivan Papić. Professor Aghalovyan also met with ASUE students currently studying in Osijek. During constructive discussions, the expansion of cooperation between the two universities, the implementation of joint research projects, the development of academic mobility, and the exchange of educational experiences were discussed. The visit helped strengthen international academic ties and shape new directions for future collaboration.
