The UNISPORT athletics championship was held on May 14th at the Mladost Stadium in Zagreb. The University of J. J. Strossmayer was represented by 27 competitors, including several of our students.
The team achieved outstanding success: two third-place trophies (for female and male students) were won, along with a total of six medals. The only gold medal for the University was won by our student Zen Stanković, who won the 3000m race with a time of 9:57.26. Zen took an excellent 4th place in the 1500m race and also won a silver medal as part of the 4x400m relay team.
Among the female students, Petra Šešum stood out by winning a silver medal as part of the 4x100m relay team. Petra also competed in the 400m race and achieved an excellent 4th place.
The head of the university team was the lecturer of Physical and Health Education, Sara Aščić.
Congratulations to all participants, and especially to our students who once again proudly represented the University and EFOS.
