for selection
All candidates for the competition must meet the general conditions prescribed by the Labor Act ("Official Gazette" No. 93/14, 127/17, 98/19, 51/22 and 64/23).
Candidates for the competition, in addition to the criteria prescribed in Article 39, paragraphs 1 and 3, and Article 119, paragraph 6. Law on Higher Education and Scientific Activity („Official Gazette“ No. 119/22), candidates must meet the requirements prescribed by Article 123, paragraphs 1 and 2, and Article 200. Statute of Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, Article 45, paragraphs 1 and 2; Statute of the Faculty of Economics of Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, Articles 2, 5, and 6. Decisions of the Rector's Council on the necessary conditions for the evaluation of teaching and scientific-professional activity in the procedure for the election to scientific-teaching titles („Narodne novine“ no. 122/17 and 120/21), the Decision of the Rector's Council on the form and manner of conducting the inaugural lecture for the election to scientific-teaching, artistic-teaching, and teaching titles (“Official Gazette” no. 129/05) and Article 9 and Article 36. Regulations on the Implementation of the Election/Re-election Procedure for Scientific-Teaching, Artistic-Teaching, Teaching, Associate, and Professional Positions at Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek (hereinafter: University Regulations).
Candidates are required to submit documentation according to Form No. 1 – Application for the competition for the scientific and teaching position of assistant professor, which was published on the website of the Faculty of Economics in Osijek https://www.efos.unios.hr/o-fakultetu/transparentost.
The Law on Higher Education and Scientific Activity, the Statute of the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University in Osijek, the Statute of the Faculty of Economics within the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University in Osijek, the Decision of the Rectors' Council on the necessary conditions for the assessment of teaching and scientific and professional activities in the procedure for appointment to scientific and teaching titles, and the Regulations on the implementation of the procedure for appointment/re-appointment to scientific and teaching, artistic and teaching, teaching, associate and professional positions at the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University in Osijek are published on the website of the Faculty of Economics in Osijek. https://www.efos.unios.hr/o-fakultetu/transparentost.
For candidates who are foreign citizens, it is necessary to submit proof of knowledge of the Croatian language in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (C2).
Persons of both sexes may apply for the competition under equal conditions. Only a person who meets the formal requirements of the competition and who has submitted a timely and complete application for the competition will be considered a candidate for the competition. A complete application is an application that contains all the information and attachments specified in the competition and is signed by hand. Late and incomplete applications will not be considered.
Candidates who, based on special regulations – the Act on Croatian Veterans of the Homeland War and Members of Their Families („Official Gazette“ no. 121/1, 98/19 and 84/21), Article 48 of the Act on Civil Victims of the Homeland War („Official Gazette“ No. 84/21), and Article 48.f of the Act on the Protection of Military and Civil War Invalids („Official Gazette“ No. 33/92, 57/92, 77/92, 27/93, 58/93, 2/94, 76/94, 108/95, 108/96, 82/01, 103/03, 148/13 and 98/19), Article 9 of the Law on Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities („Official Gazette“ no. 157/13, 152/14, 39/18 and 32/20) are entitled to preferential employment, are required to claim that right in their application for the job and to submit all evidence required by special regulations to establish that right. Such candidates are given preference in employment over other applicants only if they are equally qualified. Candidates who claim the right to employment preference in their application for the job vacancy under the Law on Croatian War of Independence Veterans and Their Families („Official Gazette“ no. 121/17, 98/19 and 84/21) and the Act on Civil Victims of the Homeland War („Official Gazette“ no. 84/21), the list of evidence required to exercise this right is available at the Ministry of Croatian Veterans' link: https://branitelji.gov.hr/zaposljavanje-843/843. Candidates who invoke the right to priority in employment pursuant to Article 9 of the Act on Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities ("Official Gazette" No. 157/13, 152/14, 39/18 and 32/20) are required to invoke this right in their application for the competition and to submit all evidence of meeting the required conditions, as well as proof of disability.
All candidates will be notified of the results of the competition no later than (15) days from the date of its completion. The Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, Faculty of Economics in Osijek reserves the right to notify all registered candidates via e-mail.
By applying for the competition, each candidate gives consent to all their personal data contained in the competition documentation being collected and processed for the purpose of implementing the competition in accordance with the regulations governing the protection of personal data, in particular Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation). Consent form was published with the competition on the website of the Faculty of Economics in Osijek Osijek www.efos.unios.hr. Without a duly completed and signed Consent form with the competition application, the application will be considered incomplete and will be rejected.
Applications with proof of meeting the competition's requirements, along with a completed and signed Consent Form for the collection and processing of personal data for the purpose of conducting the competition. are submitted in electronic form to the address: office@efos.hr within thirty (30) days from the date of publication of the vacancy notice in the "Official Gazette" with the following indication: "Application for the vacancy notice - assistant professor."„
