On September 19, 2024, the 8th inter-departmental conference on business informatics was held at the Faculty of Organization and Informatics in Varaždin, titled "Current State and Experiences in Business Informatics – Past, Present, and Future"The conference brought together business informatics instructors to discuss current practices and future directions in this field.
From the Faculty of Economics in Osijek, Department of Quantitative Methods and Informatics, the following participated in the conference: Dario Šebalj, Adela Has, Kristina Kovačević, Marinela Mokriš, and Saša Mitrović.
At the interdepartmental conference, the future of business informatics was particularly emphasized through the exploration of new opportunities and challenges, with the aim of enhancing academic collaboration and developing innovative teaching and research practices that will benefit students and faculty.
The conference also provided an opportunity for knowledge exchange and networking, with a special emphasis on including young colleagues, researchers, and assistants.
