The training “Managing EU Funds” was conducted in cooperation with Osijek-Baranja County, the Faculty of Economics in Osijek, and the Regional Office of the Croatian Employers“ Association in Osijek, on January 16, 2024. On January 16, 2024, the Deputy County Prefect, Josip Miletić, presented the participants with certificates of completion. The ceremony was held at the Faculty of Economics in Osijek, which signed a Cooperation Agreement with Osijek-Baranja County in 2020 and a new Cooperation Agreement in October 2023 for the implementation of the ”EU Project Management" seminar.
The Dean of the Faculty of Economics in Osijek, Prof. Dr. sc. Boris Crnković, emphasized that for the second consecutive year, in the aforementioned collaboration, the Faculty of Economics is conducting an educational program for HUP members on the topic of managing and preparing European projects. The training program was designed by professors from the Faculty of Economics, and the training was delivered by experts who specialize exclusively in preparing project proposals and managing EU projects in the small and medium-sized enterprise sector.
This training was developed as a result of research by the Faculty of Economics in Osijek and HUP, which conducted a detailed analysis of existing training programs on EU projects and access to funding sources. Ultimately, they realized that, despite the abundance of training on the topic, employers and entrepreneurs above all need clarification of terms and detailed instructions on the steps involved in securing EU funding. They had not found such training until now, and the idea was born.
