The 25th international scientific conference Business Logistics in Modern Management 2025 (BLMM2025) organized by the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, Faculty of Economics in Osijek, was held on October 2 and 3, 2025 at the Faculty of Economics in Osijek.
This year’s invited lecture was given by Assoc. Prof. Violeta Roso from Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden on the topic “How Dry Ports Can Steer Through Supply Chain Disruption.” Stanford University included her in its 2% list of the most cited scientists in the world in the field of logistics and transportation for six consecutive years (2020-2025). With her extensive experience and expertise, she simply demonstrated to the audience how dry ports can strengthen the resilience of supply chains and help organizations cope with disruptions in an increasingly volatile global environment.
The BLMM2025 Organizing Committee received 45 papers from authors from 12 countries (Czech Republic, Egypt, Estonia, Hungary, Germany, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, United Kingdom and Croatia). Ultimately, after an international double-blind peer review process, 36 papers were accepted and presented during the two days of the conference. After careful evaluation, five papers were selected and forwarded for potential publication in a special issue of the journal Logistics Research - Transforming Supply Chains in Central and Eastern Europe: Innovations and Challenges, and 31 papers were published in the Proceedings of the 24th International Scientific Conference Business Logistics in Modern Management.
Proceedings of the BLMM conference from 2015 to 2024 have been indexed in the respectable scientific database Web of Science, Conference Proceedings Citation Index, and the same is expected for the latest edition of the Proceedings. All proceedings can be found on the conference website www.blmm-conference.com.
While impressions are still settling in after the interesting conversations during the presentation of papers and the social part of the conference, the Organizing Committee is already slowly thinking about future editions of the BLMM conference!
