Event Management Competition (EMC) is a unique project organized by the Croatian Student Association (HSA). During the competition, students have the opportunity to showcase their creative ideas and organizational skills, gain new knowledge in event management through an educational workshop and collaborating with professionals in the event management industry.
The competition is open to all students and no prior knowledge or experience is required, only proactivity, motivation, and an interest in event management. The best teams will win cash prizes and professional internships in event organization. The invaluable network of contacts is made up of partner agencies and project sponsors who serve as the expert jury in the final.
The aim of the project is to provide students with the opportunity to education, professional development, career growth, and networking. We want EMC to serve as a first step for students interested in event management into an industry that is becoming increasingly large and important in today's society, and for students to gain knowledge and experience in event management through practical examples and assignments.
The competition consists of 2 laps, and before the first round, the competitors will have an educational workshop.The workshop and final will be held at Wespa Spaces Zagreb. Applications are open until March 12, 2026.
The schedule is as follows:
March 14 - workshop (in-person; at least one team member must attend)
March 21 - competition (online)
