Within the project Meet the Employer, at the Faculty of Economics in Osijek, on January 14, 2025, the eighteenth company/employer presentation was held: Erste & Steiermärkische Bank d.d.
Lecture and workshop entitled „Financial literacy and personal finance management“ they held Blagica Gulyash Tomac, M.Sc. in Agricultural Engineering, personal banker and Magdalena Mustapić, M.Sc. in Economics, Regional Director for the Slavonia region.
In the first part of the presentation, Erste Bank employees briefly told the students in attendance about Erste Bank as a dynamic employer, emphasizing that „…you will never be bored at Erste Bank.“ Among other things, during the presentation of Erste Bank, they also introduced the KEKS Pay app, sharing the interesting fact that about 75% of the app's users are not Erste Bank customers. They concluded the first part of the presentation about Erste Bank with a message for the students: „Don't think you're all set and done; that's when your journey begins. Work hard; it will pay off many times over,“ and a brief piece of advice for an interview with a potential employer: „Show your motivation and desire.“
In the second part of their presentation, the representatives of Erste Bank held a very dynamic, entertaining, and useful workshop for the students in attendance on financial literacy and personal finance management, with plenty of practical and personal examples.
Sixty students participated in the presentation and workshop, divided into 12 teams.
Office for career counseling and career development at the Faculty of Economics in Osijek in 2022 launched a project called Get to know the employer/industry. The goal of the project is to introduce different companies/employers as well as different industries to students, present the opportunities that a certain company/industry offers (projects, internships, etc.), present career development opportunities in the company after completing their studies, and the expected and required knowledge and skills for different jobs.
