I.S.E.O. SUMMER SCHOOL 2026 "The New Global Economic Order", June 13-20, 2026, Iseo, (Italy)

The I.S.E.O. Summer School in Economics is an international summer course reserved for graduate and postgraduate students (Master's and PhD), particularly in Economics, teaching assistants, researchers, and young professionals.
The 22nd edition will focus on "The New Global Economic Order" and will examine some of the main challenges facing the global economy in such a turbulent period. The world economy is undergoing a fundamental transformation, and the distinguished speakers of the I.S.E.O. Summer School will try to analyze threats and opportunities. New geopolitical balances and fragmentation, international trade rollercoasters, the impact of artificial intelligence, the green transition, emerging inequalities in the labor market and persistent global inflation are just some of the topics which will be covered during the intensive one-week course.
Conducted entirely in English, lectures at the I.S.E.O. Summer School They all consist of a first part of direct speech by the speaker, followed by a second part of Q&A with the participants.

Poster Session
The I.S.E.O. Summer School The program will feature a poster session.
All participants are invited to take part by presenting their research through visuals such as graphs, photos, diagrams, and brief text.
This session provides an excellent opportunity for young economists from diverse countries and universities to contribute to discussions on the ongoing transformations in international economics.
All participants selected for the I.S.E.O. Summer School 2026 will have the chance to join the poster session.

Application
The application form can be found on the Istituto I.S.E.O. website. website. The deadline to apply is May 1, 2026, although early application is highly recommended as spots are limited. Summer School admissions are processed on a rolling basis.

Fees and Scholarships
The fee for the I.S.E.O. Summer School 2026 is €2,800; however, we award talented students partial scholarships of €1,600 each, so the fee can be reduced to €1,200.
Full scholarships are not available.

The fee includes:

participation in all lectures organized during the Summer School;
Speakers' slides and presentations;
*attendance certificate (hard copy);
7 nights' accommodation at the 4-star Iseolago hotel (June 13-20, 2026) with free access to swimming pools and sports facilities;
7 days full board treatment (breakfasts, lunches, and dinners included) at the hotel and occasionally also in some other typical Italian restaurants and pizzerias;
participation in the gala dinner with speakers, sponsors, and local institutions;
participation in leisure time activities (i.e. wine tasting, kayaking, guided tours);
participation in local trips;
Local transportation within the area.

The I.S.E.O. Summer School is organized by the I.S.E.O. Institute, a non-profit cultural foundation created in 1998 by Prof. Franco Modigliani (Nobel Laureate in Economics 1985) and then chaired until 2023 by Prof. Robert Solow (Nobel Laureate in Economics 1987). Currently, the honorary chairman is 2001 Nobel Laureate in Economics Michael Spence. The association's goal is to promote conferences, debates, and Summer Schools focused on international economics.
