EFOS study trip to Management at Maistru dd, Rovinj

EFOS has organized for the beginning of 2025 study trip graduate study program in Management in Rovinj for the purpose of visiting the organization Maistra Hospitality Group. The study trip was organized as part of the course. Employee Recruitment, Selection and Placement where 2nd year graduate students used the project learning method to solve a case study assigned by the client, Maistra, who was an active participant in the course throughout the 15 weeks of classes. Maistra shared the current issues facing the Human Resources function with the students of EFOS by creating a case study whose primary goal was to find motivated candidates with whom to build a successful hotel future. The students studied and worked in teams on their project solutions, and presented their project proposals on 22.1.2025. in Rovinj at the Hotel Lone. 

Students learned from practical examples in 5 teams, which were also given creative names based on ideas related to their own project proposals, so the following teams participated in the competition: "„Luxera“, „The team from Poljud“, „StOs Highway „, „Talent Hunters“" and "„Maistra's 5 stars“.

After presentations of project proposals and detailed reading and analysis of project reports from all teams, Maistra made a decision on the winning team whose ideas impressed them the most and which they considered the most useful. The victory was won by the team „"Luxera"“ which consisted of the following students: Marijan Bockai, Karla Hornung, Lorena Markasovic, Ana Paligac and Vanessa Vukas.

Maistra emphasized that it was a pleasure to participate in the Case Study as a partner and believe that working on this project provided the students with an exceptional opportunity to learn, research and apply theoretical knowledge to real challenges, which is an invaluable experience for them. All students were commended for their diligent work on solving the task and their creativity, engagement and teamwork, which were key in the process of solving the challenges and achieving the desired results.

EFOS would like to thank Maistra for the opportunity it gave students to experience the charms and challenges of human resources management through practical examples, and would like to extend special thanks for the cooperation achieved.
