Description
Ekonomski vjesnik / Econviews – Review of Contemporary Business, Entrepreneurship and Economic Issues is aimed at scientists and practitioners. It publishes works that contribute to theoretical, methodological and empirical knowledge in the complex field of economics. Papers can be based on quantitative and qualitative analyses, they can represent syntheses of previous research and point to open questions in special areas of socio-economic practice. Papers are accepted focusing on different levels of research (from individual cases to small or large samples) and different contextual frameworks (small, medium and large enterprises, industrial sectors, local, regional and national economies, international economy, economic branches, health and education, work and demography, natural potentials and other socio-economic frameworks).
The journal is focused on the scientific domain of economics, business economics and entrepreneurship, and due to their inseparable connection with other domains – information and technical sciences, law, sociology, psychology and others, works with multidisciplinary content are also published.

Ekonomski Vjesnik / Econviews – Review of Contemporary Business, Entrepreneurship and Economic Issues strives to uphold the highest standards of academic publishing and expects the same from its authors.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts are written in clear and correct English. Authors whose first language is not English are strongly encouraged to have their manuscripts carefully language-checked prior to submission in order to ensure clarity and readability. This is optional and does not influence editorial decisions.

Submitted manuscripts must not have been published previously and must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere. All papers should be submitted electronically through the Open Journal System (OJS).

Each submitted manuscript undergoes a double-blind peer review process conducted by two independent reviewers. The identities of both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the entire review process.

Within the peer review process, papers published in the journal are categorized into one of the following types:

  • original scientific papers,
  • preliminary communications,
  • review papers.

All manuscripts must be written in English.

The manuscript template and detailed author guidelines are available here: Author Guidelines

EKONOMSKI VJESNIK / ECONVIEWS is a fully open access journal. All published content is freely available on the journal’s website. The journal does not charge any submission fees or article processing charges (APCs). Submission, peer review, and publication of articles and other contributions are free of charge for all authors.

Submission Preparation Checklist

Before submitting your manuscript, please ensure that the following requirements are met:

  • The submission has not been published previously and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
  • The abstract is between 100 and 250 words in length.
  • The manuscript length is between 4,500 and 7,500 words, including references.
  • The manuscript is written in clear and correct English. Authors are encouraged to ensure appropriate language quality prior to submission.
  • The submission includes two separate files:

If these conditions cannot be met, reviewers should promptly decline the invitation so that alternative reviewers may be appointed.

Reviewers must disclose any potential conflicts of interest arising from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships with the authors, institutions, or organizations associated with the manuscript. In cases of suspected ethical irregularities, including plagiarism, data fabrication, or other forms of research misconduct, reviewers are obliged to inform the editor without delay.

All manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents. Reviewers must not disclose, discuss, or use any information contained in the manuscript for personal or professional advantage or for any purpose other than providing an objective and constructive review.
