The project „Researching Innovative ICT Approaches in the Context of the Sustainable Digital Transition of Business Systems“ is focused on developing scientifically-founded models that help organizations make informed decisions during digital transformation. The project integrates advanced methods of machine learning, simulation modeling, and business process analysis in the healthcare, finance, and creative industries sectors. Activities include the collection and analysis of structured and unstructured data, the development of predictive models to assess organizational resilience, the simulation of healthcare processes using BPMN and discrete simulations, and the use of large language models for processing textual data. A special focus is placed on small and medium-sized enterprises and their ability to adapt to digital challenges. The project combines qualitative and quantitative research methods with the goal of building applicable and interpretable models. The outcomes include publishing scientific papers, producing a doctoral dissertation, developing models and methodologies that can be replicated in different organizational contexts, and strengthening the research capacities of young scientists. The expected contribution includes an increase in scientific excellence, digital research competencies, and an understanding of the concrete effects of digital technologies on business processes and organizational resilience.
The main objectives of the project are: 1. To identify and evaluate innovative ICT approaches that enable efficient and sustainable transformation of business processes; 2. Conduct empirical research on the use of ICT in business entities and develop predictive models of digital transformation, with the aim of supporting strategic decision-making during digital transformation; 3. Establish and develop cooperation with a related scientific research institution in the project's field.
