Creative Treasury (April 23 – 25, 2024)
Creative Treasury is a popularization symposium of the creative industry of the Faculty of Economics in Osijek. This year's theme, Treasurer's creativity, celebrates ten years of popularizing the creative industry and creative economy. The anniversary year confirms the international contribution of the Faculty of Economics in institutionalizing the creative industry. The establishment of this unique project is being carried out by Treasurers – teachers and students of higher education institutions who, with their volunteer work, contribute to the development of the JJ Strossmayer University in Osijek as Osijek's creative center. Treasurer creativity rounds off the previous years of treasurership that have marked and directed the biographies of treasurers and all participants. A variety of content (multimedia events, lectures, workshops, forums, stage performances) is a meeting place for creative professionals and creative amateurs, scientists and practitioners. The content of the Creative Treasury was followed by more than 19,500 visitors and 180,000 followers via digital technologies, and selected parts were included in the teaching of courses at higher education institutions.
The Creative Treasury is a methodological model for active learning of students and high school students about projects based on activities in the field of creative industries. It is also a place for active involvement of citizens in creative artistic and cultural processes for the development of the creative industry of the Republic of Croatia. Excellence in program content has been recognized by the Croatian Parliament, which awarded the National Science Awards to the Creative Treasury in 2017, and by the Volunteer Center, which awarded the Faculty of Economics an award in 2016 for its contribution to the development of volunteering in education based on more than 3,500 volunteer hours achieved at the Creative Treasury in 2016.
