Ivo Mioč is a full-time professor at the Faculty of Economics and Business in Osijek, employed at the Department of Finance and Accounting. The main areas of research focus on bankruptcy issues and the profitability of various operators and business organizations in the accounting and auditing environment. He teaches several subjects at the undergraduate, graduate, university specialist and doctoral level of study. He has independently or co-authored over 70 scientific and professional papers, two university textbooks in the fields of accounting and auditing, and participated in the work of a number of scientific meetings in the country and abroad. He is a member of domestic organizing committees of several scientific symposia and a member of the editorial board of foreign journals. He reviewed a number of scientific articles, one scientific book and several high school textbooks in the field of accounting. As part of the project “Implementation of the quality management system according to ISO 9001:2008”, in 2013, he was trained as an internal auditor in the area of quality assurance in the higher education system. Since 2017, he has been the head of the university specialist study “Accounting, auditing and analysis”. In the same year, he was appointed, on behalf of the Ministry of Science and Education, to the Board of Directors of the Osijek Fortress Reconstruction Agency (AOOT), and from July 2018, he was appointed member of the Board of Directors of the Institute for Development and International Relations (IRMO) Zagreb for a period of two years. Since March 2019, he has been participating in a project based on the Grant Agreement financed by the European Social Fund (ESF) from the Operational Program Effective Human Resources 2014–2020 for the project “Excellence and efficiency in higher education in the field of economics – E4” as a member of the Accounting working group for the development of occupational standards and qualification standards. He successfully led and completed three internal scientific projects. Professionally, in 2007, he passed the exam for a trustee in bankruptcy at the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Croatia (UP/I-133-04/06-01/02) and conducted more than 50 pre-bankruptcy and bankruptcy proceedings.
