Professor resume
Saša Mitrović is involved in teaching courses in information technologies and business informatics. He earned his PhD at the Faculty of Organization and Informatics, University of Zagreb, in the scientific field of Information Sciences, subfield of Information and Software Engineering, where he developed a methodological framework for an Automated Machine Learning (AutoML) system based on the CRISP-DM approach, aimed at applying machine learning in production environments.
His research focuses on the development of AutoML systems, dimensionality reduction methods, and algorithms for classification and regression tasks. It bridges theoretical and practical aspects of AutoML, including model optimization, latency control, interpretability, and the integration of both linear and nonlinear dimensionality reduction techniques into automated analytical pipelines for classification and regression problems across various domains. He is actively engaged in software development and the integration of methodology and applied practice.
