Ivana Unukić was born on August 9, 1991 in Osijek. She completed her primary education and the first high school in Osijek. After completing secondary education, she enrolled at the Faculty of Economics in Osijek. During her studies, she became a demonstrator in the course Economy of Croatia. She completed her undergraduate and graduate studies in the Financial Management major at the Faculty of Economics in Osijek in 2016 in the group of 10% of the most successful students. During her graduate studies, she also completed a course for the Head of Implementation and Management of Projects Financed from EU Funds, as well as Pedagogical-Psychological-Didactic-Methodological Education. During her graduate studies, she received a scholarship for excellence from the JJ Strossmayer University in Osijek, and she also received the Dean's Award, as well as the Faculty Council Award for exceptional success in her studies. After completing her graduate studies, she was employed through professional training for work without establishing an employment relationship at the Faculty of Economics in Osijek as a Professional Officer for Improving and Ensuring the Quality of Higher Education. Currently, she conducts exercises and seminars at the undergraduate (Microeconomics, Macroeconomics) and graduate (Regional Economics) levels of study at the Faculty of Economics in Osijek. She received her PhD in 2024 from the doctoral study program Management at the Faculty of Economics in Osijek with the defense of her doctoral thesis entitled "Sources of regional economic transformation of post-transition EU countries". She actively uses English in speech and writing. In her work, she actively uses computers - common software tools and statistical program tools. She is a member of the Croatian Society of Economists and the Regional Studies Association, and has published 15 scientific and professional papers.
