Đula Borozan is a full-time professor with a permanent position at the Faculty of Economics and Business in Osijek, within the Department of National and International Economics. She teaches Macroeconomics and related courses at all educational levels, and also serves as an external associate at the School of Applied Mathematics and Informatics in Osijek. She has actively participated in numerous international conferences and has served as a principal investigator or collaborator on several scientific and professional projects. She was the head of the scientific project “Economic Challenges of the Transition Towards Low-Carbon Growth” funded by the Croatian Science Foundation (2021–2025). For her published scientific papers in top-tier journals with high impact factors, focusing on macroeconomics and macroeconomic energy studies, she has received numerous prestigious awards. These include, for example, the Annual State science award for 2022, the Award of the Croatian Economic Society for the promotion of scientific-research work for 2023, and the University of Osijek Award for exceptional scientific achievements, earned for her contributions over the past several years, in 2025. Since 2021, according to Stanford University and Elsevier, she has ranked among the top 2% of the most influential (cited) scientists in the world. She has been a long-time member of the Croatian Operational Research Society and, since 2021, has also been a member of the Economic Council of the President of the Republic of Croatia.
