World and European Money Week 2025: FIM chase

Glagolitic Hall

The Financial Impulse Association announces European Money Week 2025, which will be held March 17, 2025 on Faculty of Economics in Osijek (Glagolitic Hall) starting at 11:00 a.m.. On Monday, numerous experts, students, pupils and interested participants will gather to participate in a rich program dedicated to financial literacy and stability. This year's overarching theme, „"Don't follow blindly, plan wisely"“, is aimed at highlighting the importance of making thoughtful financial decisions in an uncertain and changing economic environment.

The event will be attended by representatives of the Croatian National Bank, InterCapital, the Croatian Pension Insurance Company, the Solana Foundation, and the owner of the blog MyTetka. Expert lectures will be given by the Vice Governor of the Croatian National Bank, Mr. Maroje Lang, and Ms. Sandra Ferenčak – Tetka, owner of the blog MyTetka.

Alongside them, in a panel discussion titled "„"How do you ensure stability in an insecure environment?"“, also participating are Ms. Ivana Drlje, Advisor to the Management Board at InterCapital Asset Management, and Ms. Maja Menićanin, Head of Portfolio and Management at the Croatian Pension Insurance Company.

One of the main goals of this event is to emphasize the importance of financial literacy in ensuring personal and economic stability. Many still face a lack of knowledge about the basics of money management, credit and investing, which can lead to poor financial decisions. Excessive debt, as well as myths about investing and saving, often prevent society from achieving long-term financial security. Through expert presentations and discussions, participants will have the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge about personal finances, debt, investing and ways to ensure stability in uncertain economic conditions. Special emphasis is placed on the balance between growth and security, recognizing opportunities and financial scams, understanding investment risks, the future of the pension system and the impact of technology on financial management.

As part of the World and European Money Week at the Faculty of Economics in Osijek, an informal part will be held on March 19th – the FIM Chase. It is a quiz in which four students are gathered in a team with the goal of defeating the one who stands in their way – the hunter. This quiz, inspired by the popular show, brings together students and knowledge lovers and promotes academic excellence, competitive spirit and teamwork.

European Money Week once again confirms the importance of education in the field of finance, so that individuals can make informed and responsible decisions that contribute to their financial security and the stability of society as a whole.
