COMPETITION
for selection
All candidates for the Competition must meet the general conditions prescribed by the Labor Act (Official Gazette, No. 93/14, 127/17, 98/19, 151/22 and 64/23).
Candidates for the competition under point 1. osim kriterija propisanih člankom 39. stavkom 1. i 3. i člankom 119. stavkom 6. Zakona o visokom obrazovanju i znanstvenoj djelatnosti („Narodne novine“ broj 119/22), obvezni su ispuniti uvjete propisane člankom 123. stavcima 1. i 2. i člankom 200. Statuta Sveučilišta Josipa Jurja Strossmayera u Osijeku, člankom 45. stavcima 1. i 2. Statuta Ekonomskog fakulteta u sastavu Sveučilišta Josipa Jurja Strossmayera u Osijeku, člancima 2., 5. i 6. Odluke Rektorskog zbora o nužnim uvjetima za ocjenu nastavne i znanstveno-stručne djelatnosti u postupku izbora u znanstveno-nastavna zvanja („Narodne novine“ broj 122/17 i 120/21), Odlukom Rektorskog zbora o obliku i načinu provedbe nastupnog predavanja za izbor u znanstveno-nastavna zvanja, umjetničko-nastavna i nastavna zvanja (“Narodne novine” broj 129/05) te člankom 9. stavkom 1. i člankom 36. Pravilnika o provedbi postupka izbora/reizbora na znanstveno-nastavna, umjetničko nastavna, nastavna, suradnička i stručna radna mjesta na Sveučilištu Josipa Jurja Strossmayera u Osijeku (u daljnjem tekstu: Pravilnik Sveučilišta).
Candidates are required to submit documentation according to Form No. 1 – Application for the competition for the scientific and teaching position of assistant professor, which was published on the website of the Faculty of Economics in Osijek https://www.efos.unios.hr/o-fakultetu/transparentost.

Candidates for the competition under point 2. submit the documentation in two (2) copies, one of which is a photocopy. All candidates who meet the formal requirements of the competition and who have submitted the mandatory documentation with their application for the competition must take part in a written test and/or interview, and will be informed about the content and method of the written test and/or interview, legal and other sources for preparing candidates for the written test and/or interview, the place and time of the written test and/or interview via the Faculty's website and by e-mail no later than five (5) days before the written test and/or interview. Candidates who do not take part in the written test and/or interview upon invitation to the test will be considered to have withdrawn their application for the Competition and will not be considered candidates for the competition.
For candidates who are foreign citizens, it is necessary to submit proof of knowledge of the Croatian language in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (C2). The selected candidate is obliged to submit proof of recognition of a foreign higher education qualification before starting employment.
Labor Law, Law on Higher Education and Scientific Activity, Statute of Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, Statute of the Faculty of Economics within Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, Decision of the Rectors' Conference on the necessary conditions for the evaluation of teaching and scientific-professional activity in the procedure for election to scientific-teaching titles and the Regulations on the implementation of the election procedure/the Rector's Council's Decision on the necessary conditions for the evaluation of teaching and scientific-professional activity in the procedure for election to scientific-teaching, artistic-teaching, teaching, associate, and professional positions at Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, and the Regulations on the Implementation of the Election/Re-election Procedure for Scientific-Teaching, Artistic-Teaching, Teaching, Associate, and Professional Positions at Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek were published on the website of the Faculty of Economics in Osijek. https://www.efos.unios.hr/o-fakultetu/transparentost.
Persons of both sexes may apply for the competition under equal conditions. Only a person who meets the formal requirements of the competition and who has submitted a timely and complete application for the competition will be considered a candidate for the competition. A complete application is an application that contains all the information and attachments specified in the competition and is signed by hand. Late and incomplete applications will not be considered.
Candidates who, based on special regulations - the Act on Croatian Homeland War Veterans and Members of Their Families ("Official Gazette" no. 121/17, 98/19, 84/21 and 156/23), Article 48 of the Act on Civilian Victims of Homeland War ("Official Gazette" no. 84/21) and Article 48.f. of the Act on the Protection of Military and Civilian War Invalids (Official Gazette, No. 33/92, 57/92, 77/92, 27/93, 58/93, 02/94, 76/94, 108/95, 108/96, 82/01, 103/03, 148/13 and 98/19), Article 9 of the Act on Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities (Official Gazette, No. 157/13, 152/14, 39/18 and 32/20) call for the right to priority in employment, they are obliged to refer to this right in their application for the competition and to attach all evidence prescribed by special regulations for the exercise of this right. The aforementioned candidates shall have priority in employment compared to other applicants, only under equal conditions. For candidates who, in their application, invoke the right to employment priority under the Act on Croatian Veterans of Homeland War and Members of Their Families ("Official Gazette" No. 121/17, 98/19, 84/21 and 156/23) and the Act on Civilian Victims of the Homeland War ("Official Gazette" No. 84/21), the list of evidence required to exercise this right is available at the link of the Ministry of Croatian Veterans: https://branitelji.gov.hr/zaposljavanje-843/843.
Candidates who invoke the right to priority in employment pursuant to Article 9 of the Act on Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities ("Official Gazette" No. 157/13, 152/14, 39/18 and 32/20) are required to invoke this right in their application for the competition and to submit all evidence of meeting the required conditions, as well as proof of disability.
All candidates will be notified of the results of the competition no later than (15) days from the date of its completion. The Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, Faculty of Economics in Osijek reserves the right to notify all registered candidates via e-mail. Candidates are required to provide their e-mail address in their application for the competition.
By applying for the competition, each candidate gives consent to all their personal data contained in the competition documentation being collected and processed for the purpose of implementing the competition in accordance with the regulations governing the protection of personal data, in particular Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation). Consent form was published along with the competition on the website of the Faculty of Economics in Osijek https://www.efos.unios.hr/o-fakultetu/transparentost. Without a duly completed and signed Consent forms with the application for the competition, the application will be considered incomplete and will be rejected.
Candidates for the competition under point 1. Applications for the competition with evidence of meeting the competition requirements must be submitted electronically to the following address: pisarnica@efos.hr within thirty (30) days from the date of publication of the tender with the indication: "Application for the tender under point 1.".
Candidates for the competition under point 2. Applications for the competition with evidence of meeting the competition requirements must be submitted within eight (8) days from the date of publication of the tender to the address: Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, Faculty of Economics in Osijek, Trg Ljudevita Gaja 7, 31000 Osijek, with the indication: „Application for the tender under item 2.
