Goal

Introduction to basic concepts: probability, probability distribution, the concept of risk. Successful calculation and interpretation of basic risk measures. Development of knowledge and skills in risk management in the context of logistics and supply chain management. Mastering and developing skills in using a computer spreadsheet.

After completing the course, the student will be able to:
1. Recognize and distinguish between different types of risks
2. Use advanced functions of a computer spreadsheet (Excel, etc.) in the context of risk management
3. Calculate and interpret individual risk measures (alpha, beta, R^2, VaR and cVaR – through parametric and
non-parametric methods)
4. Critically assess the benefits and drawbacks of individual risk measures
5. Alorize risk management systems within supply chain management
