  1. Provide students with knowledge about evaluating the role of central banks in determining the money supply.
  2. Teach students how to argue the purposefulness of specific monetary policy instruments.
  3. Teach students how to critically assess specific goals, strategies, and tactics of monetary policy.
  4. Train students for an argumentative discussion about the determinants of money demand.
  5. Train students for the analysis of aggregate supply and demand.
  6. Teach students how to analyse the transmission mechanisms of monetary policy.
  7. Train students for the argumentation of the usefulness of rational expectations theory.
