Goal

The aim of the course is to train students to prepare information in the process of managerial decision-making, with special emphasis on information for strategic decision-making. Students will acquire knowledge for the use of accounting information and modern cost accounting methods in the process of strategic decision-making in companies as prerequisites for achieving sustainable competitive advantage.

4. Performance measurement in the framework of strategic managerial accounting: Balanced system of indicators (Balanced Scorecard, BSC). Economic Value Added (EVA).

1. propose a way to achieve competitive advantage by applying a cost leadership strategy in individual segments of a company's business,
2. evaluate the role of strategic management accounting in the development and execution of business strategy, 3. recommend ways to operationalize strategic concepts into applied management accounting,
4. draw up a proposal for improving the cost management system in the company based on the application of the selected strategic management accounting cost accounting system,
5. create a balanced system of company indicators.
