The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the basic theoretical concepts and peculiarities of critical thinking and critical writing, and through practical applications of business decision-making to analyze the influence of selected psychological biases, misconceptions and heuristics on decisions and conclusions. At the same time, the goal of the course is to empower students for independent critical thinking.
1. Critical thinking in a business context
2. The concept of argument, types and validity of an argument
3. Biases, heuristics and errors in reasoning
4. Methodological framework for critical listening, reading and writing.
After completing the course, students will be able to:
1. Explain the fundamental determinants of critical thinking in the context of contemporary business practice.
2. Apply the basic concepts of critical thinking and logical reasoning in the process of making business decisions.
