Goal

Acquire knowledge for the analysis, synthesis, and evaluation of ICT in business practice based on adopted principles and theories, understanding the advantages and limitations of their use.
Acquire cognitive skills for the interpretation, assessment, creative use of ICT in solving complex tasks within specific business areas in predictable and unpredictable conditions, and transferring knowledge to other business areas and problems.
Acquire psychomotor skills for performing complex actions using various ICT methods and tools and adapting complex models, programs, and data in different areas of business practice.
Acquire social skills in communication via ICT for initiating group cooperation processes in unpredictable situations.
Acquire autonomy in business activities where ICT is used and in using ICT for research activities.
Assume ethical and social responsibility for the successful execution of tasks and the conduct of research for the use of ICT in business and for possible social consequences.

After completing the course, the student will be able to:
1. Evaluate parameters for selecting information and communication technology for business needs
2. Valorise the algorithms of simple processes as a basis for creating software solutions
3. Select the optimal model for a database of digitised data within a business entity
4. Use software tools for office operations, including word processing, spreadsheets at an advanced level, presentation creation, databases, and websites
5. Critically assess the potential of the internet for realizing electronic business (e-business)
6. Formulate parts and levels of the information system and connect them with the business system and decision-making
