Entrepreneurial management

Goal

The course aims to introduce students to the broad conceptual framework necessary for understanding the role and significance of entrepreneurship in the 21st century. The course trains students to critically examine the motives, types and models of entrepreneurial decision-making and behavior, and develops their ability to analyze key factors in the development of an innovative organization, and to manage marketing, human resources and specific operations of a business entity.

After completing the course, the student will be able to:

  • Comment on how entrepreneurial management characteristics can influence the management strategy of a new or growing company,
  • Analyze the competitive business environment and identify, analyze and evaluate entrepreneurial opportunities,
  • Identify the specifics of entrepreneurial human resource management,
  • Evaluate the contribution and explain the specifics of marketing research from the perspective of an entrepreneur,
  • Analyze various aspects of operations management in a new or growing entrepreneurial venture.
