The goal of the course is to familiarise students with the methodology for applying for and managing EU projects. Through lectures, interactive workshops, and fieldwork, students will learn how to shape a project idea based on the needs of the community or a business entity, and how to prepare the project idea for submission to European Union funds, using a logical framework. The course will place special emphasis on the risks inherent in managing any project, and how to minimise identified risks.
The course will cover activities related to the planning and submission of project ideas for financing from European Union funds. Students will become familiar with the techniques for shaping project ideas, based on the needs of an organisation, business entity, or community. Based on the objectives planned for achievement through each EU fund, students will learn to select the appropriate fund, and to elaborate on project activities and prepare the project budget, in accordance with the guidelines for applicants. Finally, by analysing possible risks that may arise during the process of implementing project activities, students will learn the strategies by which they can minimise risks and/or propose alternative solutions.
