Goal

The course 'Credit Analysis' should enable participants to acquire knowledge in the area of banking operations related to assessing the creditworthiness of clients applying for a loan. Through this course, participants will learn how banks and other credit institutions evaluate loan applications, i.e., how they make decisions on approving or rejecting a loan application. The goal is to go through the process of creditworthiness assessment, the key issues in evaluating applications, the basic steps for making a founded business credit decision, and the factors influencing credit risk.

  1. The credit process, credit risk
  2. Key issues in evaluating loan applications
  3. Financial and non-financial aspects of credit analysis
  4. Financial analysis of corporate loan applications
  5. Risk assessment models
  6. Risks in banks, Basel 3, decision on the adequacy of the guarantee capital of credit institutions
  7. Preparation of a project assignment
