Goal

The creative industry is making an increasingly significant contribution to the global economy, challenging established business models and re-examining the factors of economic growth and development. The course examines the organizational model of the creative industry in Croatia and its 12 sectors. The course focuses on the analysis of the contemporary effects of the creative industry, which are changing existing institutional frameworks and imposing the necessity of multi-layered social, economic, technological and institutional changes.

1. To connect the evolution of the creative economy and the basic concepts of the creative economy with globalization processes and the development of technology.
2. Define the sectoral division of the creative industry in the Republic of Croatia and compare national indicators of the creative industry with European countries.
3. Determine the growth factors of the creative industry and put them in interdependence with the economic policy of the country, the transformation of the economic structure and the institutional framework.
4. Connect the valuation of creativity with the creation of added value and predict the impact of the creative industry on contemporary public policies and the economic development of countries.
