The goal of this course is to upgrade the already acquired knowledge of English for economics and business from the undergraduate study programme, and to perfect students' receptive, structural, and productive linguistic competence in the process of understanding English for economics and business, with a special emphasis on financial management and accounting. Along with developing the skills of listening, reading, speaking, and writing in business English in the area of financial management and accounting, the emphasis is on communication competencies and skills, such as key competencies: politeness, flexibility, and conflict resolution ability.
Students analyse professional texts in business English on the topic of finance and accounting, analyse video examples online, use a large number of offered phrases to participate in discussions and argue case studies, and use Power Point to present current topics related to finance and accounting.
