
LUMEN Business the most famous is student competition in solving business cases in Croatia and the region. Applications for competitors are open from January 11, 2024. to January 24, 2024. year.
The competition is part of LUMEN platforms which consists of three other areas: data science, development and engineering. The purpose of LUMEN Business is to foster cooperation between students and companies. During the competition, student teams must use their acquired knowledge and solve tasks from business cases set by companies.

They expect teams whose solutions are innovative and the most creative valuable cash prizes. Each partner company secured prizes for the three best solutions for their business case. First place wins 1,350 euros, second 800 euros, and third 550 euros.

Entrepreneurship is an increasingly common topic when discussing economic development. Innovative individuals who are willing to take risks to realize their business ideas are an indispensable part of social progress. Main task In this case, the aim is to establish a business activity according to the chosen legal form of the business entity. This includes: developing a strategy, defining an entrepreneurial niche with a product or service that is intended to be offered to the market, presenting the business idea to a commercial bank for a cooperation agreement, and conducting market research.

Armani Beauty Acqua di Giò – Into the Unknown
Business case category: marketing
Goal The aim of this study is to develop a strategy for the launch of a new men's fragrance, Armani Acqua di Giò. Initially, market research, competition analysis, potential partners and target group selection should be carried out. Based on the research, a final activation plan is prepared, which should include a 360 communication strategy. This is followed by a financial plan, local client activation and a method for activating the fragrance line with the possibility of replenishment.

As a solution to this case, the teams should offer a proposal for marketing activities for 2024 for the new product, Coca-Cola Zero sugar Zero caffeine. Goal is to find a way to use the advantages of the product in the campaign, namely convenience for consumption at any time of the day while maintaining the excellent taste of Coca-Cola. The solution must include a marketing plan and cost estimate.
Henkel case
Schauma, Gliss & Syoss Strategy 2024.
Business case category: marketing
Henkel is present on the market with various products. In the business case, the focus is on three of their hair care brands – Schauma, Gliss and Syoss. Task is to design a strategy for the mentioned brands that will improve the image of the brand, increase penetration and further strengthen the market position. Case solving consists of two steps. First, you need to do market research, and then prepare a strategy proposal according to the 4P principle. This includes specific proposals for products, price, point of sale and promotion that should be in focus.
Finale
The competitors will submit their business case solutions by the end of April. Then, companies choose five finalists. The finalists will present their ideas in May, and the winner will be announced in finale of the LUMEN platform will be held May 25, 2024.
