Economic Council
The EFOS Economic Council was founded in November 2019 with the aim of connecting more strongly the scientific and professional efforts of the Faculty of Economics and Business in Osijek with the economic community, but also to contribute to the development of the third mission of the Faculty.

COUNCIL ACTIVITIES

  • participate as a focus group in the creation of the Faculty Strategy
  • participate as a focus group in the creation of occupational standards within the project EXCELLENCE AND EFFICIENCY IN HIGHER EDUCATION IN THE FIELD OF ECONOMICS (E4)
  • participate in the process of determining study programs and teaching plans of the Faculty, as well as in the process of revising the existing ones
  • include entrepreneurs in various types of education at the Faculty
  • work on the cooperation of employers and students, especially when preparing seminar papers, final and graduate theses
  • work on cooperation between businessmen and students through “case studies”
  • encourage other forms of education of interest to the Slavonian and Croatian economy, i.e. development of the Faculty
  • encourage research studies related to the development of the economy
  • organize round tables and forums, the purpose of which is to encourage the development of the economy and a greater influence of science on the creation of economic policy in Slavonia and Baranja, and in Croatia as a whole.

Mission of the Economic Council
The Faculty's Economic Council acts as a bridge between the academic community and the economy, with the aim of continuously improving the quality of education, strengthening students' competencies, and encouraging innovation through cooperation with the business sector.
The Council, through its activities, contributes to the development of relevant study programmes, lifelong learning, and research important for the economic progress of Slavonia, Baranja, and Croatia.

Vision of the Economic Council
To become a recognisable example of successful cooperation between science and the economy, thereby positioning the Faculty of Economics and Business in Osijek as a key driver of education, innovation, and economic development in the region and beyond.
