
On November 7, 2023, the Faculty of Economics in Osijek organized an event called EFOS EU Project Day - 10 years together and on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the Republic of Croatia's entry into the European Union. Presentation of current EU EFOS projects and their results, and panel discussions What are the effects of EU projects for EFOS and the community? and Why use Erasmus mobility? they aimed to encourage the wider academic and business community to apply for joint projects, and to encourage students and teachers to use the Erasmus mobility program.
The event was opened by Ms. Ivana Žafran from the Ministry of Science and Education with a very interesting presentation What opportunities does it offer? COST program?
In the panel What are the effects of EU projects for EFOS and the community?, which was moderated by Katica Križanović, bachelor of science in economics, Head of the Office for EU Projects and Programs, professors, leaders of some of the current EU projects at the Faculty of Economics in Osijek participated (Associate Professor Anamarija Delić, PhD, Professor Davor Dujak and PhD, Professor Domagoj Karačić)) and entrepreneur Ms. Ivona Djukic, a participant in the lifelong learning program Manager of the tourism economy, which was developed and implemented as one of the EFOS project activities within the framework of the project VirtuOS. In the panel Why use Erasmus mobility?, moderated by student Ivana Rašić, student at the Faculty of Economics in Osijek and president of the association ERUDIO Professors from the Faculty of Economics in Osijek participated (Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sc. Aleksandar Erceg, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sc. Jelena Franjković and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sc. Ana Živković) and female students Nina Huđik and Dora Dolezal, who presented their experiences related to Erasmus mobility, the challenges and benefits of participating in it.
Current projects that the Faculty of Economics in Osijek is implementing (either as a project leader or as a project partner) are: VirtuOS – establishment of a regional competence center in the tourism and hospitality sector, ME (Migration challenges) – yesterday, today, tomorrow, EUPHORY - Education Framework for Urban Resilience Innovation Activities (second phase), SFF.DeepT+ - DeepTech in Higher Education Institutions and Ecosystems through Entrepreneurial Education+, BAS4SC - Business Analytics Skills for the Future-proof Supply Chains, and in the final report approval phase: CroViZone - Adaptation of the wine-growing zones of the Republic of Croatia to climate change and CSI: CustomDigiTeach - Creating social impact through customized digital teaching formats.
