The Faculty of Economics in Osijek is an academic partner of the Adria Business Forum, which will be held on June 16th in Zagreb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Forum's keynote speaker, James A. Robinson, will give a lecture on the topic \u201eWhy Do Some Nations Fail and Others Prosper?\u201c.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
James A. Robinson is a Nobel laureate and co-author of the influential book Why Nations Fail<\/em>, which will provide in-depth insight into the institutional, political, and economic causes of developmental differences between countries and offer relevant guidelines for strengthening global and national competitiveness within the lecture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The forum will encompass a lecture and panels dedicated to the impact of artificial intelligence on the transformation of business models, changes in global value chains, and the redefinition of global economic relations in the context of growing uncertainty. Special emphasis will be placed on productivity, the institutional framework, innovation capacities, and the ability of companies to adapt to accelerated changes in the market and technological environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Furthermore, the role of Europe and Croatia in the new global distribution of economic and technological forces will be discussed, as well as the challenges brought by the energy transition, digitalization, and the need for human capital development.
